In Term 3, Year 5 and 6 students wrote letters to the Queen congratulating her on her Jubilee. After asking every week if we got a reply - we finally did!
As part of the school's Jubilee celebrations. Earth class served Pluto class a special afternoon tea. They spent the week planning and baking cupcakes, chocolate brownies, flapjacks and cookies which all counts towards their ASDAN qualification. The place mats and crowns were also handmade by Earth!
As part of their topic ‘The Enchanted Woodlands’ students explored the woodlands at The Look Out and even went on a bug hunt! They learned about the different bugs in our local woodlands and how to identify them. Fun was also had exploring different elements of science in the discovery centre.
We are so proud of Isla who has just been awarded a Blue Peter badge for her drawings.
Earth class had a great start to the summer term with a trip to Marwell Zoo.
A big thank you to all our students and staff who wore blue and yellow today in support of Ukraine. All the contributions amounted to an amazing £400. We split this and donated £200 to the Disasters Emergency Committee and £200 to Shelterbox.org.
We had a great day on Friday dressing up in red or as our favourite Heroes or Heroines and raised an amazing £221.81.
Students had a brilliant time learning about sublimation on our science day.
Our students had a crackin' good pancake day.
World Book day on 3 March was a great hit with both students and staff.
