Our Leadership Team

Here are details of our senior leadership team:

Julie Swann

Admissions, Safeguarding & Pastoral Lead

Julie is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Admissions Lead and Mental Health Lead.  She ensures that the voice and needs of each child in the school are heard and met and works collaboratively with parents and colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for all.

Prior to working within education Julie was a transport and operations manager for a domestic and international freight organisation for many years.  A personal interest in Autism, due to a family member’s needs, inspired Julie to become a volunteer Education Advocate on the NAS Education Helpline, as well as chairing a local parent support group and helping create a number of clubs for after-school activities, swimming and trampolining for individuals with autism.  In her spare time, Julie also ran her own independent advocacy service for children with cerebral palsy and autism.  Julie’s passion to help and support Autistic people continued on and she joined Heathermount School in 2007 as a behaviour and class support assistant and a work partner for the Post 16 students in the setting.
